Doug, along with Dave Ballinger, took over ownership of Gail Construction in 2001 and is the fourth generation of Gail builders in the Cody area. He has a degree from the University of Wyoming and has over 30 years of experience in construction management, business management, and environmental management. Doug provides leadership and vision for the company and supports our clients’ project planning. He is a Cody native and is raising his two sons in Cody.
Jim has been in the construction industry since 1998 and has provided leadership in all phases of construction. He has a degree in construction management from the University of Wyoming and has 15 years of experience as a general contractor. Jim and his wife, Jen, moved to Cody in 2007. Utilizing the skills and experiences he acquired in college, playing football and in his professional career, Jim has guided Gail Construction to be the leading custom home builder in the Bighorn Basin. Jim’s personality represents his love for the community, involvement in the local schools, and he demonstrates leadership at its highest level.

Dave Ballinger


Dave has been with Gail Construction since 1975 and has provided leadership for some of the most impressive custom construction projects in the area. He has an outstanding relationship with local subcontractors and suppliers along with a reputation for providing excellent customer service.

Jim Pehringer


Jim joined Gail Construction in 2016. He is a Wyoming native and graduated from University of Sioux Falls, SD, where he played football and earned a Biology degree. Jim and his wife, Jenny, have raised two children in Cody. He worked with the Department of Agriculture, plus the Game & Fish for 27 years. Jim communicates construction progress with our clients at least weekly and provides day-to-day supervision of construction activities by coordinating our labor, vendors, and subcontractors to meet the requirements of the design.

Eric Berg


Eric joined Gail Construction in 2015. Eric is a Wyoming native and grew up in a ranching family. He has been a building superintendent and worked in the industry for 23 years. Eric communicates construction progress with our clients at least weekly and provides day-to-day supervision of construction activities by coordinating our labor, vendors, and subcontractors to meet the requirements of the design.

Paul Roberts


Paul joined Gail Construction in 2020. He is a Wyoming native and earned a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He has 35 years of experience in managing construction and operations at oil & gas drilling sites throughout the world. His knowledge of the local environment and pragmatic approach to management benefits customers in scheduling day-to-day construction activities.

Madison Turner

Office Manager

Maddie joined Gail Construction in 2019. She was born and raised in West Yellowstone MT, but moved to Cody in 2017. She manages offices activities to ensure our infrastructure is available to support our customers and employees. She also plays a critical role in supporting our staff in job execution and cost estimating.

Amber Bryant

Business Manager

Amber joined Gail Construction in 2019. She grew up in Michigan, but moved to Cody in 2007 and is now raising her family here. She brings with her over ten years of experience in bookkeeping, customer service, and office management. She coordinates the Business Office for Gail Construction and running daily back end operations.
